SERVICE is composed of employees representing each department within the Credit Union. The mission of the SERVICE Team is to research, develop, and coordinate diverse community involvement efforts and encourage Sun East Federal Credit Union employees to participate in community service activities that will enrich the lives of credit union members and local citizens and further enhance the Credit Union Movement.
Participation in SERVICE provides rewarding opportunities for personal development while creating a sense of teamwork, which compliments the Credit Union philosophy of "People Helping People."
SERVICE conducts on-site fundraisers for various charities and individuals in our community via hoagie sales, pretzel sales, bake sales, on-site flea market, publishing and sale of an Employee Cookbook, jeans day, and various raffles. The Team also coordinates participation in outside or off-site fundraisers and events.

The Dora Maxwell Social Responsibility Program was established to encourage credit union involvement in community projects and activities. The award is sponsored by the Pennsylvania Credit Union Foundation.
Dora Maxwell, a true pioneer of the credit union movement, was elected to the first board of directors of the New York State Credit Union League in 1921. In addition to organizing hundreds of credit unions, Dora Maxwell developed volunteer organizer clubs and worked with several organizations to help improve the living standards of impoverished people everywhere.
We at Sun East acknowledge the need for financial understanding at an early age and beyond. Every stage of life offers new opportunities to learn and grow. Education is the first step toward financial success.
Sun East's Financial Literacy Program provides educational sessions customized to every grade level: elementary, middle, high school, and college. From learning the importance of saving to managing a checking account to developing a budget to understanding investments, we offer something for every classroom. An experienced trainer will visit your school to present the lesson based on your curriculum and age level of the students.
