Member Awards
“People Helping People” Education Award for Members
This $1,000 award is presented to one student who is a member or whose immediate family is a member (parent/grandparent or legal guardian) of Sun East Federal Credit Union.
Students eligible for this award will demonstrate that they have participated in a minimum of 40 hours of community service within the year and write an essay on how this experience has impacted their lives. Applications will be accepted until May 1.

School District Awards
“Best Teacher Under the Sun” Award
This award is presented to one teacher in each category of Elementary Schools (grades K-5), Middle Schools (grades 6-8), and High Schools (grades 9-12) in the school districts listed on Sun East’s Federal Charter as a Select Employee Group (SEG).
The winning teacher receives $500 and his/her school also receives $500 for this recognition.
School faculty, administrators, students, and parents may submit nominations for a teacher. The “Best Teacher Under the Sun” Award acknowledges outstanding achievements of teachers in his/her performance in daily classroom activities, special projects or programs, or exemplary efforts to inspire students to reach beyond their grasp.
All applications are submitted to Sun East Federal Credit Union, PO Box 2231, Aston, PA 19014, Attn: Scholarship Committee. Deadline for applications is May 1.

Student Awards & Scholarships
Sun East Federal Credit Union also also offers scholarships to school districts, private schools or universities that are listed on Sun East Federal Credit Union’s Federal charter as a Select Employee Group (SEG).
All applicants must meet the minimum criteria listed for each award. Students interested in applying must see their school counselors for an application. College students can obtain an application at their financial aid office.
At the high school and college level, the awards are $1,000 each and are $200 for private schools and the Delaware County Literacy Council.
